Toolbar

The toolbar is located on the left side of the VektorCAD editor and provides quick access to all drawing, editing, and export commands. It is organized into logical groups so you can find the right tool quickly.

Quick access

You can also type any command name directly into the command panel and press Enter — no need to search the toolbar.

Drop-down menus

Toolbar buttons with a small arrow have a drop-down menu with additional variations. Click the arrow to see all options.

Icon Command Description
AddSheet Add Sheet Create a new drawing sheet next to the current sheet
Duplicate Duplicate Sheet Create an exact copy of the current sheet including all entities and settings
Delete Delete Sheet Remove the selected sheet and all its entities permanently

Draw

Drawing tools create new geometry on the active sheet. Each tool supports object snap, grid snap, ortho mode, and coordinate input for precision.

Point

Icon Command Description

Line

Icon Command Description
Line Line Draw a straight line by specifying two points, or create connected segments by selecting multiple points
Polyline Polyline Create a continuous series of connected line and arc segments as a single entity
Parallel Parallel Line Draw a line parallel to an existing one at a specified distance
Perpendicular Perpendicular Line Draw a line at 90° to a selected reference line, passing through a specified point
Angle Line Angle Line Draw a line at a specified angle and length from a given start point
Bisector Bisector Line Draw a line that divides the angle between two intersecting lines into two equal parts
Tangent Tangent Line Draw a line tangent to a circle or arc passing through a specified point
Tan Tan Line Tan Tan Line Draw a line tangent to two selected circles or arcs
XLine XLine Create an infinite construction line extending in both directions from a point
Ray Ray Create a construction line from a point extending infinitely in one direction
XYLine XY Line Draw a reference line aligned with the X axis with X and Y text labels
Cutting Plane Line Cutting Plane Line Draw a cutting plane line with arrows to define a sectional view (e.g. A–A)

Circle & Ellipse

Icon Command Description
Circle Circle Create a circle by specifying center point and radius
2P Circle 2P Circle Create a circle by specifying two points that define the diameter
3P Circle 3P Circle Create a circle passing through three specified points
TTR Circle Tan Tan Radius Circle Create a circle tangent to two entities with a specified radius
Ellipse Ellipse Create an ellipse by center and major/minor axes; draws isocircles in isometric mode

Arc

Icon Command Description
3P Arc 3 Point Arc Create an arc through three specified points (start, on-arc, end)
SCE Arc Start, Center, End Create an arc by specifying start, center, and end points
SCA Arc Start, Center, Angle Create an arc by start and center points, then included angle
SCL Arc Start, Center, Length Create an arc by start and center points, then chord length

Icon Command Description
Hatch Hatch Fill selected closed boundaries with a pattern or solid fill

Edit

Editing tools modify existing entities. Select entities first, then apply the edit — or run the command and select entities when prompted.

Erase

Icon Command Description
Erase Erase Remove selected entities from the drawing

Trim & Extend

Icon Command Description
Trim Trim Shorten or cut entities at automatically detected cutting edges
Auto Extend Auto Extend Automatically extend the selected line until it meets another entity
Extend Extend Lengthen or shorten a selected line by a specified distance

Fillet & Chamfer

Icon Command Description
Fillet Fillet Create a smooth arc connecting two entities with a specified radius
Chamfer Chamfer Create a beveled edge between two intersecting lines by distance or angle

Fillet with radius 0

Set the fillet radius to 0 to create a sharp corner — this trims/extends both entities to meet at a point.
